Make your day a little sweeter with these chocolatey Vegan Salted 'Caramel' Brownies! With pure maple syrup, almond butter and plenty of chocolate, these fudgy vegan salted caramel brownies are plant-based perfection.
Microwave maple syrup and 1/4 cup oil in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until heated through. Add almond butter and 1/4 tsp. salt; whisk until blended. Reserve sauce for later use.
Combine flour, baking powder and remaining salt. Beat sugar, cocoa powder, applesauce, melted chocolate, vanilla and remaining oil in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
Press dough onto bottom of 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 40 to 45 min. or until top is firm to the touch. Cool completely. Top with reserved sauce before serving.
Serve topped with your favorite non-dairy ice cream.
