Kitchen Tips
Tip 1
Make Ahead
The potato mixture can be shaped into balls ahead of time; place on prepared baking sheet. Freeze 2 hours or until firm. Transfer to large freezer-weight resealable plastic bag. Freeze up to 3 months. When ready to serve, transfer balls to parchment-covered baking sheet, brush with egg wash, then bake in preheated oven as directed. No need to thaw the frozen balls before baking.
Tip 2
Substitute
Omit green onions. Substitute 1/4 cup PHILADELPHIA Spicy Jalapeño Cream Cheese Spread or PHILADELPHIA Garlic & Herb Cream Cheese Spread in place of PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese. Refrigerate 30 min. before rolling into balls.
Tip 3
Mindful Eating
Plan ahead! Eating in moderation involves planning ahead to make sure healthy foods are readily available. Make sure to be intentional in your food planning and lifestyle patterns so that you can also fit in some of your family’s favorites.
