Let's Make It
Mix ingredients just until blended.
Refrigerate 8 hours.
Shape into 8 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
Cook in nonstick skillet on medium heat 3 min. on each side or until done (165ºF).
Instead of shaping the turkey mixture into patties before cooking, crumble the turkey mixture into large nonstick skillet; cook on medium heat 4 min. or until done, stirring frequently.
Serve up this tasty, low-sodium, recipe as part of a simple weeknight dinner. As a bonus, it is a good source of protein.
This flavorful homemade sausage can be refrigerated up to 3 days before cooking as desired. Or for longer storage, place in freezer-weight resealable plastic bag; freeze up to 3 months. If frozen, thaw in refrigerator overnight before cooking as desired. When cooking the sausage, be careful not to overcook it or it will become dry.
How to Shape the Patties
Divide turkey mixture into 8 equal pieces, then shape each piece into patty as directed. Before cooking, use back of spoon to make slight indentation in center of each patty. This helps the sausage patties to cook more evenly.
