Heat oven to 375ºF.

Brown meat with peppers and 1/2 cup onions in large nonstick skillet on medium heat; drain. Return meat mixture to skillet. Add barbecue sauce, mustard and 1 cup cheese; stir. Cook 1 to 2 min. or until cheese is completely melted, stirring frequently.

Separate biscuits; place in single layer on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Press bottom of 1/2-cup dry measuring cup into top of each biscuit to make well, being careful to not press completely through biscuit. Spoon meat mixture into wells.

Bake 15 min. or until biscuits are lightly browned. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake 4 to 5 min. or until melted. Sprinkle with remaining onions.
