What You Need
Original recipe yields 1 serving
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 star anise pod, crushed
3/4 cup GEVALIA House Blend Cold Brew Iced Coffee Concentrate
3/4 cup milk

Let's Make It
Microwave water in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or water comes to boil.
Add sugar, cinnamon and anise; stir until sugar is dissolved. Let stand 5 min.; strain into separate bowl. Discard strained solids.
Mix coffee concentrate, milk and 3 Tbsp. strained syrup until blended. Serve over ice in tall glass. Reserve remaining syrup for another use.
How to Serve Warm
Mix coffee concentrate, milk and 3 Tbsp. strained syrup in microwaveable mug until blended. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or until heated through; stir.
How to Crush the Star Anise Pod
Using the bottom of a skillet or can, press on the star anise on work surface until anise is coarsely crushed.
How to Store the Remaining Flavored Sugar Syrup
Refrigerate the remaining flavored syrup up to 1 week before using.
