What You Need
Original recipe yields 10 servings
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 small shallots, finely chopped
2 cups OLIVO by CLASSICO Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 bay leaf
dash crushed red pepper
1/2 cup half-and-half
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh Italian parsley

Let's Make It
Heat oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Add shallots; cook 5 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
Add pasta sauce, bay leaf and crushed pepper; stir. Bring to boil. Stir in half-and-half and vodka; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Remove and discard bay leaf. Add cheese and parsley to sauce; mix well.
For creamier sauce, substitute 2 cups of your favorite variety of POLLY-O Ricotta Cheese for the half-and-half. For a smoother sauce, prepare sauce as directed, then pour into blender and blend until smooth.
Prepare using CLASSICO Spicy Red Pepper Pasta Sauce.
Omit the vodka.
