Heat grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill chicken 5 min. on each side. Brush lightly with some of the barbecue sauce; grill 3 to 4 min. or until done (165°F), turning and brushing frequently with remaining barbecue sauce.
Serve chicken topped with cheese and onions.
