Beat butter in medium bowl with mixer 5 min.
Spread into 12-inch square on sheet of parchment or plastic wrap.
Drizzle A.1. down center of square. Roll into log; wrap in parchment.
Freeze 1 hour or until firm before using as desired.
Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh thyme leaves to softened butter before beating with mixer as directed.
This makes a great topping for your favorite steak, such as a New York strip steak. Heat oven to 250ºF. Season steak with black pepper. Place on wire rack on rimmed baking sheet. Bake 15 min. on each side. After about 25 min., heat heavy skillet on medium-high heat. Add steak to hot skillet; cook 4 min. on each side or until medium doneness (160ºF). Top each serving of steak with 1 Tbsp. of the compound butter. Cook just until melted.
This versatile compound butter can be frozen up to 3 months before using as desired.
