Original recipe yields 4 servings
1 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. grated fresh gingerroot
1 Tbsp. each garam masala, ground cumin and ground turmeric
1 cup water
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Let's Make It
Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until tender. Add garlic and ginger; cook and stir 1 to 2 min. or until fragrant. Add garam masala, cumin and turmeric; cook and stir 30 sec. Stir in water and tomatoes until blended.
Stir in chicken until coated with sauce mixture; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 8 to 10 min. or until chicken is done, stirring occasionally.
Add cream cheese spread; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until melted. Sprinkle with cilantro.
Serve with steamed green vegetables and a glass of fat-free milk to round out the meal.
Serve with hot pita or naan bread.
