No tomato sauce? No worries! This easy spaghetti subs red sauce for mouthwatering mushrooms and shallots sautéed in balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 6 servings
1/2 lb. spaghetti, uncooked
1/4 cup KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
1/4 lb. cremini mushroom s, quartered
1 shallot, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Cook spaghetti as directed on package, omitting salt.
Meanwhile, heat dressing in large skillet on medium heat. Add mushrooms, shallots and garlic; cook 4 to 5 min. or until mushrooms and shallots are tender, stirring frequently.
Drain spaghetti, reserving 1/4 cup cooking water. Stir reserved cooking water into mushroom mixture.
Serve spaghetti topped with mushroom mixture and cheese.
Substitute button mushrooms for the cremini mushrooms, and 1/2 cup chopped onions for the shallot.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
