A filling made with brown sugar and spiced pumpkin is sandwiched between a slivered-almond crust and topping to make these delicious dessert bars.

Original recipe yields 32 servings
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1-3/4 cups flour, divided
1/2 cup PLANTERS Sliced Almonds, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

Heat oven to 350ºF.
Line 13X9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Spray with cooking spray. Mix first 3 ingredients in large bowl until blended. Add 1-1/2 cups flour and 1/4 cup nuts; mix well. Press onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 min. or until lightly browned.
Beat cream cheese and brown sugar in medium bowl with mixer until blended. Add remaining flour, pumpkin, milk, egg and pumpkin pie spice; mix well. Pour over crust. Sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Bake 30 to 35 min. or until center is set. Cool completely. Use foil handles to lift dessert from pan before cutting to serve.
Sprinkle with an additional 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar before cutting into bars.
