Who doesn't go for a tall stack of deliciousness in the form of a caprese salad? Mozzarella, tomatoes, basil…here it all is—in tasty sandwich form.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 4 servings
6 oz. KRAFT Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp. olive oil
8 slices rustic white bread
4 tsp. BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 large tomato, thinly sliced
4 large fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Let's Make It
Place cheese slices on plate. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and drizzle evenly with oil; let stand 10 min.
Toast bread slices. Spread 4 toast slices with sour cream. Top evenly with cheese, tomatoes and basil; sprinkle with pepper.
Cover with remaining toast slices.
Variation - Caprese Bread Salad
Omit oil and sour cream. Cut cheese and toast into cubes. Toss cheese with 4 cups torn romaine lettuce, tomatoes, basil and 1/2 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing in large bowl. Add toast cubes; toss lightly. Sprinkle with pepper. Makes 4 servings.
Serve this delicious sandwich with crunchy fresh vegetables and your favorite fresh fruit to round out the meal.
