Skillet-cooked ground beef gets a long simmer with BBQ sauce in the slow cooker to make these family-pleasing sloppy joe sandwiches.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 12 servings
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 bottle (18 oz.) BULL'S-EYE or KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1/2 cup water
12 hamburger buns
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Let's Make It
Brown meat in large skillet; drain.
Mix meat, barbecue sauce and water in slow cooker. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 4 hours.
Fill buns with meat mixture; top with cheese.
Brown meat. Cover and refrigerate overnight until ready to add to slow cooker.
For a Mexican version, substitute 12 (6-inch) flour tortillas for buns; top with meat mixture, cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream before rolling up to serve.
Store leftovers in single-serving microwaveable plastic containers. Reheat in microwave for a quick sandwich.
Serve with raw vegetables and your favorite fresh fruit to round out the meal.
