Saddle up with this sweet Giddy-Up Horse Cake recipe from My Food and Family. Pipe melted chocolate onto this Giddy-Up Horse Cake for the "horse's mane" and use ring-shaped hard candies for other decorations like the eyes.

1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup powdered sugar
2 white ring-shaped hard candies (for eyes)
2 red ring-shaped hard candies (for bridle)
25 assorted candy-coated chocolate pieces (for bridle)
3 pieces (8 inch each) string licorice (for bridle)

Prepare cake batter and bake in greased foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan as directed on package. Cool completely. Cut cake into pieces as shown in diagram. Arrange on serving platter as shown in photo ; set aside.
Place chocolate and cream in medium microwaveable bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) 2 to 3 min. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after each min. Remove 1/4 cup of the chocolate mixture; place in small resealable plastic bag. Set aside. Add powdered sugar to remaining chocolate mixture in bowl; beat with wire whisk until smooth and of spreading consistency. Spread onto cake.
Decorate with candies as shown in photo. Cut 1/8-inch piece from one of the bottom corners of bag of melted chocolate. Use to pipe chocolate onto the cake for the "horse's mane."
