What You Need
Original recipe yields 5 servings
1 cup wheat berries, soaked 8 to 10 hours, drained
1 env. GOOD SEASONS Mild Italian Dressing Mix
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup HEINZ Distilled White Vinegar
1/4 cup oil
1 pkg. (6 oz.) OSCAR MAYER CARVING BOARD Flame Grilled Chicken Breast Strips
1 large Granny Smith apple, chopped
1/2 cup PLANTERS Walnut Pieces, toasted
1/4 cup raisins

Let's Make It
Place wheat berries in medium saucepan. Add 1-1/2 qt. (6 cups) water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 50 min. to 1 hour or until tender. Drain; cool.
Mix dressing mix, orange juice, vinegar and oil in large bowl. Add wheat berries and remaining ingredients; mix lightly.
Serve immediately. Or, cover and refrigerate up to 4 days.
Pair this salad with lean meat or poultry and your favorite steamed vegetable.

How to Soak Wheat Berries
Rinse wheat berries; place in medium bowl. Add enough water to cover by a few inches. Let stand at room temperature 8 to 10 hours. Drain; use as desired.
