Cook potatoes and garlic in boiling water in large saucepan 20 min. or until potatoes are tender; drain.
Mash potatoes until smooth.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
Add contrast to the potatoes by serving them with a crisp mixed green salad or vegetable, and cooked lean fish, meat or poultry.
When making mashed potatoes, use baking or red potatoes for best results.
Recipe can be prepared ahead of time. Cool, then place in resealable plastic bag. Press excess air from bag, then seal bag and refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, transfer potatoes to microwaveable container. Microwave until heated through.
