What You Need
Original recipe yields 24 servings
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups PLANTERS Pecan Pieces, finely ground
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Let's Make It
Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat butter, granulated sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Add flour, pecans and salt; mix well. Cover. Refrigerate 1 hour or until chilled.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake 10 to 12 min. or until centers are set. Remove from baking sheets to wire racks; cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar until evenly coated. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
Sweets can be enjoyed on occasion as part of a balanced diet but remember to keep tabs on portions.
To prevent cookies from spreading out too much, make sure the dough is well chilled before shaping into balls.
Make it Easy
Use a blender or food processor to quickly grind the pecans. Just be careful not to overprocess them or you'll end up with nut butter!
