In a large skillet cook sausage, beef and garlic from jar until sausage and beef are no longer pink; drain. Stir in garlic salt, basil, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce. Simmer about 30 minutes.
Heat oven 375 degrees F. Cook and drain noodles 3/4 way through directions on package.
In medium bowl, mix cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, parsley flakes and black pepper.
Spread approx. 1/2 cup of juice from meat mixture on bottom of 9x13 glass baking dish. Layer 6 noodles on bottom, spread approx. 2 cups of meat mixture then 1 1/2 cup of cottage cheese mixture. Repeat noodles, meat mixture and cottage cheese mixture. Layer last of noodles and top with Mozzarella cheese.
Bake 40 minutes or until the cheese is slightly brown. Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
