Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 potatoes, sliced in 1/4 of an inch sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 onion, sliced into rings or sliced thin (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
3/4 cup Kraft Shredded Italiano Cheese

Preheat oven at 400°F. Grease an oven casserole dish with Pam. Layer 1/2 of the potatoes into the bottom of the casserole dish. Season the bottom potatoes with salt and pepper (to taste). Add onions on the top of the bottom potatoes. Add the other half of the potatoes on top of the onions, add salt and pepper to taste.
In a medium pan, melt butter over medium heat. Sparkle the flour over the butter and stir nonstop with a whisk for 1 minute. Slowly stir in the milk and stir until mixture gets thick.
Stir in all the shredded cheese at once and continue stirring until the cheese is melted (about 30 to 60 seconds). Pour cheese sauce over the potatoes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cover the potatoes dish with aluminum foil and bake for an hour and a half.
