If using red potatoes wash well. Do not peel them. If using russet (or white) peel first then wash them. Cut potatoes into fourths and then in little wedges. Spray a 13x9 casserole dish (glass works way better for this recipe).
Meanwhile, put butter into a microwave safe bowl cook until melted; about 1 minute to 1 minute and 45 seconds. Put potatoes into the pan pour butter evenly over the potatoes. Stir in salt and pepper and onion powder. Stir potatoes well and put aluminum foil over the potatoes.
