Prepare soup as directed, adding the bouillon cubes in a large pot.
While waiting for the water to boil, mix eggs and milk in medium bowl with a fork or large spoon, slowly add flour until batter is very thick. Keep adding flour until the batter when lifted stays on the spoon when turned upside down.
After the soup is at a rolling boil, drop spoon size dumplings into boiling soup. (Tip, dip spoon into boiling soup before spooning into batter to prevent sticking) spoon all of the batter into soup bring back to boil, stirring to prevent sticking, turn down to simmer until dumplings float and are hard to the touch. Garnish with butter, salt and pepper if desired.
