1 Tbsp hot water
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup creamed butter
2 unbeaten eggs
3 cups sifted flour

Let's Make It

Dissolve the baking soda and cinnamon in the hot water. Add the sugar to the butter and cream 10 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time and blend in well. Add the flour, the soda and the cinnamon. Mix well.

Knead into a smooth dough. Roll thin, cut into small cakes.

Bake at 400°F until light brown.
