Original recipe yields 1 serving
1.5 pounds ground beef
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 package baby carrots
1.5 pounds stew meat
1 bag square frozen hash browns
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
Seasonings as desired: thyme, season salt, rosemary, etc.
3 cups water
2 envelope s brown gravy mix (SM -Southeastern Mills works well)

In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain well.

Layer all ingredients (except gravy mix) in crock-pot, (tomato sauce, carrots, stew meat, potatoes, tomato soup, ground beef, onion, garlic, seasonings)

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Turn crock-pot off, mix gravy as packages instructs. Add to stew and let thicken. Serve with rolls or biscuits.
