Preheat oven to 350°F. Clean apples. Remove the cores of the apples with a knife or apple corer. Do not remove bottom of apple. Place apples in a deep baking dish. Add hot water to bottom of baking dish so it meets the full bottom of the apples. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar in center and top of apples to desired taste (more can be added later).
Bake for about 25 minutes. Skin may start to peel away when done.
Place individual apples in bowls and add Cool Whip or milk to desired amount. Now is a great time for a little extra cinnamon and sugar. Serve with a spoon and enjoy!
