Preheat oven to 350°, and grease three 9-inch round or a 9x13 inch rectangle cake pan. Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, one at a time blending well until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and beat 4 minutes at medium speed.
Pour into pan(s) and bake for 35 minutes or until done. Cool on racks 45 minutes before frosting.
Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Add confectioners’ sugar and mix on lowest setting until blended. Add strawberries and blend until smooth. Additional strawberries or juice may be added, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired frosting consistency is achieved. Frost cooled cakes.
