Beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the sour cream and almond extract until well blended.
In a microwavable bowl mix together the water, lemon juice and gelatin and let bloom. Then microwave approx. 3 minutes or until mixture boils. Add the 1/2 cup of ice to cool mixture. Then add to cream cheese mixture, beating until smooth and creamy. Fold in the tub of whipped topping until well blended.
Add mixture to pie shells and spoon the cherries onto top of pies. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Refrigerate leftovers.
