Original recipe yields 1 serving
2 lb roast (or one that will just fit in the crock-pot), trim any excess fat
Oil
Cut veggies, such as onion, carrots, new potatoes, celery
1 small can tomato paste
1 can beef consommé
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 pkg golden onion dry soup mix

Brown the roast in a skillet with just a tad bit of oil. While browning, chop your veggies.

Put veggies in a layer at the bottom of the crock-pot. Once the roast is done browning, transfer to crock-pot on top of the veggies. Add the other ingredients.

Cook on high. I usually turn it down to low about 1 hour or so before dinner. I usually start this around 8 or 9 in the morning and dinner is by 5 or 6.
