Original recipe yields 1 serving
1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
1 pkg (2 oz.) dried beef, chopped in small pieces (any thin sliced pkg. of deli beef can be used)
1/2 stick Parkay margarine
1 pkg (12 oz. to 16 oz.) Kraft Fancy Grated Cheese (mild cheddar, colby-jack, or cheddar jack can be used, according to your tastes)
1 Tbsp minced onion (optional) for more flavor
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup milk (optional)

Cook rice per package directions. Drain and rinse with hot water to keep rice flakier.

Return to pan and add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Return to stove and reheat to warm through thoroughly to blend all ingredients. Milk can be added for a creamier consistency.
