Original recipe yields 1 serving
6-8 potatoes (to be mashed)
2 lb ground beef
1-2 cloves minced garlic (depending on taste) - optional
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
1 lg. bag or frozen corn or mixed veggies, thawed
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk
1 pkg (16 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese

Peel and dice potatoes. Begin boiling potatoes in preparation for mashing.

Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Add garlic (optional), dry onion soup mix and water. Cook until water is evaporated.

Add beef mixture to bottom of a 9x13 pan. Add veggies or corn to the top of the beef mixture - spread out evenly.

Mash potatoes - add butter and milk while mashing. Spread potatoes over the beef and veggie mixture. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the potatoes.

Place in 350 degrees F oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
