1 large pineapple, sliced into quarters lengthwise and sectioned into slices.
1 lb regular bacon strips (you may substitute turkey bacon, but not reduced-fat varieties)

Preheat oven to broil. Trim ends of the pineapples and cut into quarters lengthwise. Cut away the skin and slice each quarter into 1/2-inch chunks.
Wrap a strip of bacon around each piece of pineapple, rolling until tight. Place pieces, loose bacon and facing down, on slotted broiling pan with tray.
Broil on top shelf for 4 to 5 minutes, or until back is crispy. Turn each piece over using tongs and broil for an additional 4 to 5 minutes. Spear each slice with a toothpick, place on platter and serve immediately.
