1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chili peppers, drained
1 can (16 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained but saving 1/3 cup liquid
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup corn meal

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in onion, chilies, corn, reserved liquid from corn, and cheese. Combine remaining ingredients. Add to corn mixture, mixing well.
Pour into well greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until light golden brown).
