Original recipe yields 1 serving
CAKE:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoon cocoa
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING:
1/4 cup margarine
1 Tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoon cocoa
1 Tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoon milk
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

CAKE:

1. In a large mixing bowl, mix flour and sugar. Set aside.

2. In medium saucepan, bring margarine, oil, water, and cocoa to boil. Pour over flour mixture and beat well.

3. Add buttermilk, egg, vanilla, salt, and baking soda. Mix well.

4. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 9 inch round cake pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until done.

5. Frost and serve.

FROSTING:

1. Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to boil.

2. Gradually add powdered sugar. Add vanilla.

3. Beat until creamy. Spread on warm cake.
