2 sticks butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vanilla

Let's Make It

Cream butter, shortening and sugar till fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and salt alternately with milk and vanilla.

Pour into a previously greased and floured bundt pan or tube pan.

DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN. Bake in a 325 degrees F oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of cake tests clear.
