1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp lemon juice
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
3 cups chopped fresh cranberries
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream butter and both sugars till fluffy. Add in egg, milk, and lemon juice. Mix in dry ingredients, and then fold in cranberries (and nuts).

Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.

Bake for about 15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
