Original recipe yields 112 servings
2-1/2 cups mashed strawberries (buy about 3 pt. fully ripe strawberries)
1-1/2 cups chopped blueberries (buy about 2 pt. fully ripe blueberries)
3 cups sugar, measured into separate bowl
1 cup water
Let's Make It

Rinse clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water. Dry thoroughly.

Mash strawberries thoroughly, one layer at a time. Measure exactly 2-1/2 cups mashed strawberries into large bowl. Stem blueberries and place in blender or food processor. Pulse to evenly chop. (Do not puree.) Measure exactly 1-1/2 cups chopped blueberries into bowl with strawberries; mix well.

Place sugar in large saucepan. Stir in pectin until well blended. Stir in water. Bring mixture to boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 min. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in prepared fruit. Stir 1 min. or until well blended.

Fill all containers immediately to within 1/2 inch of tops. Wipe off top edges of containers; immediately cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours. Jam is now ready to use. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or freeze extra containers up to 1 year. Thaw in refrigerator before using.
