Chicken & Cheese Sub Sandwiches

When a sub recipe begins with crisp, skillet-cooked bacon, it's probably a winner! That's certainly true of this chicken-and-cheese sandwich.

You'll need:

Kraft Singles American Cheese Slices 12 oz Package (16 Slices)

INGREDIENTS:

8 slices OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon

4 small boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 lb.)

4 KRAFT Singles, cut diagonally in half

1 baguette (12 oz.), ends trimmed, cut into 4 pieces

1/4 cup KRAFT Real Mayo

4 curly green lettuce leaves

8 slices tomato

1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels.
  2. Add chicken to reserved drippings in skillet; cook 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (165ºF.) Top with Singles; cover. Remove from heat. Let stand 1 min. or until Singles are melted.
  3. Spread baguette pieces with mayo; fill with chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. Serve with barbecue sauce.
