Original recipe yields 8 servings
2 lb. lean ground beef
2 green peppers, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. white potatoes (about 3), peeled, cut into 1 inch chunks
2 cans (14-1/2 oz. each) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin

Brown meat with peppers, onions and garlic in large saucepan.

Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling water in separate saucepan 10 min. or until tender; drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water.

Drain meat mixture; return to saucepan. Add tomatoes, A.1. Sauce, reserved cooking water and seasonings to meat mixture; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 min., stirring occasionally. Add potatoes; cook 5 to 10 min. or until heated through. Serve topped with cheese.

How to Make It a One-Pot Dish
Cut potatoes into 1/2 inch pieces. Brown meat mixture as directed; drain. Add potatoes along with 1/2 cup water and all remaining ingredients except the cheese to the meat mixture in saucepan. Bring to boil; cover. Cook on medium-low heat 1 hour or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with cheese.
