Go Meatless for the Week with these 7 Meatless Meals

Go Meatless for the Week with these 7 Meatless Meals

More and more people are trying to reduce their meat consumption through healthy and delicious meatless meals. However, it's easier said than done. Sure, reducing meat consumption can be a healthy option for you, the environment, and your wallet, but it can sound daunting if you aren’t used to all the vegetable-packed choices. However, if you plan ahead and follow a few simple tips, your family will be able to eat more than a meat-free meal, they’ll be happy to spend the whole week meat-free. Just remember to:

  1. Incorporate different colors and shapes. We eat with our eyes first, so make it a meal to remember from the first time you lay eyes on it.
  2. Cook outside the box. If your family likes tacos, spaghetti, burgers, meatloaf, or the like, you can modify them to include more vegetables! It’s OK to think outside your standard recipe collection because you never know when you’ll hit dinner gold!
  3. Variety is the spice of life. Mixing it up is key. You can’t just have salads and veggie omelets every night, so even if you’re not sure your family will love a recipe, it’s worth it to give it a try. Sometimes, just the excitement of something unfamiliar on the dinner table will help a kid try (and like!) a new recipe.
